FAQs
What does a coaching session look like?
Virtual sessions meet using Google Meet. In-person financial coaching sessions are available in Lancaster county and Chester county, in which case we’ll likely meet at a local coffee shop (coffee on me)! I prefer to dress casually so don’t expect me to show up in a pant suit; you don’t need to either.
Will coaching help me?
Financial coaching will help you work toward any financial goal (getting out of debt, budgeting, saving for house, saving for retirement etc.). We’ll lay out a plan of where you are, where you’d like to be, and how to get there.
However, it WON’T help if you aren’t honest with me about your current numbers and behaviors- or if you aren’t ready to make changes.
Are you a Financial Advisor?
Nope. As a financial coach, I don’t sell or manage any investment products. I help you with the behavioral and mindset side of finance. I’ll help you with more day-to-day things like budgeting and paying off debt. My goal is to get all my clients into a position where they can give and invest more and then let the advisors take it from there.
What if my spouse doesn’t want to meet with you?
My goal is to prevent money fights between married couples, not start them. I have a firm policy against meeting with married individuals without their spouse. If scheduling is an issue, please email me and we can figure out the best way to make it work for all our schedules.
How much does coaching cost?
You can see package pricing HERE. I offer discounts for single moms and adoptive/foster families. If you put the work in and are dedicated to the coaching process, I’m confident it’ll be the best money you invest this year. Referral discounts also available.
Do you have any Training?
In 2021, I completed Dave Ramsey’s Financial Coach Master Training, which was amazing! I love many of Dave Ramsey’s tools and resources but spoiler alert: I don’t follow all his rules to a T. I also spend hours taking investing courses, reading books, and listening to podcasts and watching videos on personal finance. I love sharing the best resources with you so you don’t have to waste your time searching for them.
“With budgeting and our tax return, we were able to pay off our credit card, personal loan and student loans, just in this first month! Over $10,000 in debt! Thanks for meeting with us! It was the kick in the butt we needed to actually sit down and write a budget.”
